Participating teams will try to convince the members of the Arianespace jury by presenting the potential applications of their entry. Projects will be judged on their ability to improve life on Earth or advance human knowledge. Other selection criteria include the satellite design, which has to be compatible with a rideshare mission (deployment platform, one standard unit, UA, in size and weight, etc.), and eco-responsibility.
The deadline for submitting projects is 14 May. Note that it will actually choose five finalists, with the winner to be announced at an award ceremony on 16 June 2021 during the opening day of VivaTech.

Arianespace
At the show, Arianespace will also be unveiling its new rideshare system, MLS (Multi-Launch Service) for the Ariane 6, it says.
Founded in 1980, the company is a launch services specialist operating a range of launchers, from the heavy-lift Ariane 5 to the expendable Vega rocket, which is for smaller payloads.
