Bi-directional DC power supplies have grid-tied DC load

The manufacturer’s Power Recovery (Regeneration) technology is a standard feature. This means that in sink mode the power supplies can return full power to the grid. The 95% efficiency eliminates the need for water cooling systems. The output with constant power characteristics covers the output range of five separate power supplies with a traditional rectangular VI-curve, says the company.

There is  digital control for dynamic responses to load changes, allowing engineers to adapt regulation to match load type.

The power supplies operate over a range of Three-Phase AC input voltages and have over-load and short circuit protection.

Other features are an Ethernet interface, built-in sequencer and web interface, a large user display with menu driven operation and digital encoders for voltage and current adjustment.

The low noise, power supplies use fans for temperature control and surpass CE and UKCA EMC requirements.

Telonic offers Delta’s AM70-CP-450 (0-70V, 0 – ±450A), the SM210-CP-150 (0-210V, 0-±150A), the SM500-CP-90 (0-500V, 0- ±90A) and SM1500-CP-30 (0-1500V, 0-±30A) bi-directional DC power supplies for sale or hire.
