TE Connectivity’s AMPSEAL 16 connectors are aimed at off-road, heavy-duty industrial, recreational and agricultural applications. These connectors, available now from TTI Europe, provide rugged reliability, easy use and help prevent moisture and dirt from contaminating connections. The connector receptacle and pin housings provide a one-piece approach and are supplied fully assembled. These connectors are now available with an increased temperature range – up to 150C – for extended on-engine, after-treatment and powertrain applications.
The connector accepts contact size HDSF 16 (up to 13A), 14-20 AWG (2.5-0.5mm2) and has 2, 3, 4, 6, 8, and 12 cavity arrangements. Different housing colours improve ease of assembly, and the colour polarisation keys help to prevent mismatching. Installation time is reduced by the fully assembled one-piece design. There are two sealing variants for SAE and ISO wires.
