Cyberdog is coming for Spot

Update: August 6, 2023

Xiaomi says it will only make 1,000 Cyberdogs and is putting them out at $1,540 a beast compared to Spot’s $74,500.

Cyberdog responds to voice commands, can do backflips, carry 3kg and run at 3.2m/s compared to Spot at 1.6m/s.

“CyberDog can analyze its surroundings in real-time, create navigational maps, plot its destination, and avoid obstacles. Coupled with human posture and face recognition tracking, CyberDog is capable of following its owner and darting around obstructions,” says Xiaomi.

Cyberdog uses an Nvidia Jetson Xavier AI platform and Intel RealSense D450 cameras.

It has three USB-C ports and one HDMI port for customising the hardware with, e.g., lidar, panoramic cameras and search lights.
