Diodes Incorporated launches 500mA LDO that meets automotive specifications, providing excellent PSRR in high power density size

Update: November 25, 2021

Diodes has launched the highly optimized AP7347DQ low dropout (LDO) regulator for demanding noise-sensitive power-related automotive product applications. This high-output precision LDO that meets automotive specifications has obtained AEC-Q100 level 1 certification, is produced in an IATF 16949 certified factory, and fully supports the automotive production part approval process (PPAP). These features make this product very suitable for designing a number of important in-vehicle functions, including point-of-load (POL) product applications in ADAS, automotive wireless communication systems, radio frequency subsystems, and power supplies for infotainment systems.

The power supply rejection ratio (PSRR) of 75dB and the output noise of only 60µVrms make the AP7347DQ a considerable advantage in performance. It has 12 fixed output voltages and maintains ±1% voltage output accuracy within the operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C. The wide input voltage range of 1.7V to 5.5V can meet the requirements of many automotive product applications, while the quiescent current of 60µA can reduce standby power loss.

AP7347DQ has an enable pin; if the device is disabled, the built-in active discharge function can ensure that the system is started in a known state. It integrates overheating and short Circuit protection functions, and also adds a 180mA foldback current limit when a short circuit occurs.

AP7347DQ adopts SOT25 and high power density sidewall plating W-DFN2020-6 (SWP) package.
