Mouser has signed a global distribution agreement with Fingerprint Cards, a world-leading biometrics company. Through the agreement, it will offer customers Fingerprints’ BM-Lite module and development kit to assist in designing biometric access devices.
The BM-Lite module is a total biometric fingerprint solution that comprises the hardware, software, and algorithm required for use right out of the box. Combining high-quality components with outstanding biometric performance, the IPX7-rated module provides a comprehensive embedded solution for increased security and enhanced ease of use. The 15mm x 15mm x 2.8mm module utilises simple serial commands to enrol and verify, and the device’s embedded standalone fingerprint verification system provides low power consumption for use in battery-powered applications.
The development kit offers all the hardware needed to develop security and access control solutions, including locks, safes, USB tokens, and POS terminals. The kit comprises a BM-Lite module and adapter flex cable, FPC5832 and FPC5924 adapter board.
