Expanded wireless offering provides clear and reliable transmission of data

Update: October 30, 2021

TTI Europe is supporting Sensata Technologies’ IWPT industrial wireless pressure transmitter at this year’s SPS. The device is an essential part of a wireless system that assists in the 24/7 monitoring of factory assets. It offers a cost-effective alternative to a traditionally wired pressure transducer and offers the advantages of a low-cost installation in inaccessible and expensive installation environments.

Sensata’s proprietary wireless communications protocol operates in the 2.4GHz ISM band, enabling the IWPT to offer clear, reliable data transmission even with line-of-sight obstructions. Its small size fits in the palm of a hand and easily mounts to a wall, machine or other implements. The industrial wireless pressure transmitter provides out-of-the-box configurations while still enabling flexibility to program-specific requirements. Powered by a Li-ion battery, the low maintenance device can last for between 5-25 years in the field, dependent on the update rate configuration.

“Wireless networks eliminate the installation and maintenance costs associated with wired systems for continuous asset monitoring,” says Andreas Eckert, technical development manager Central Europe for Sensors and E/Mech at TTI. “With 41 unique models within the IWPT range along with its software configurability, they can meet the specific application requirements across a wide variety of assets and media.”

The wireless sensor portfolio, including its wireless pressure and temperature sensors, gateways, receivers, and transmitters, gives it scalability and adaptability to work in a range of industrial IoT applications.

Product specialists from TTI Europe will be available at SPS, Hall 4A, Stand #201, 23-25 November 2021.
