Global distribution deal for unique industrial-grade SSDs

Update: June 7, 2021

Mouser has signed a global distribution agreement with Exascend, a service-oriented and customization-focused solid-state storage company specialising in high-performance, high-reliability, high-capacity, and fully customisable SATA and PCIe NVMe SSD solutions. Exascend products are created on in-house-developed hardware and firmware platforms and exclusively engineered with Marvell’s state-of-the-art SSD controllers, aimed at enterprise and industrial applications such as AI, autonomous driving, industrial automation, cinematography, edge storage, telemetry, and mission-critical solutions.

The company’s patented algorithm continuously monitors drive thermals and regulates drive performance to enhance SSD reliability, simultaneously enhancing sustained performance and QoS by a factor of ten. The product line now available includes the industrial-class PI3, SI3, SI2 series — plus the enterprise-class PE3 series SSDs — across the M.2, U.2, 2.5″, and mSATA form factors.

The PI3 series SSDs are sturdy, ultra-high-capacity, high-speed PCIe Gen3 NVMe SSDs engineered solely for applications that necessitate maximum ruggedness. The PI3 series is offered in capacities up to 8TB, able to sustain sequential read performance of 3,200MBps and sequential write performance of 1,700MBps. They are excellent for use in applications including edge servers, transportation, data logging storage, high-performance telemetry, and mission-critical solutions. The SI3 series and SI2 series SSDs are industrial-grade SATA 3 devices, including 3D TLC and MLC NAND flash, respectively, providing high speed and low latency with capacities up to 4TB.

The PI3, SI3, and SI2 series are created with innovative features and optimisations for industrial and rugged applications — such as wide temperature-support and protection against neutron single event upsets — and provide TCG Opal 2.0, utilising hardware encryption technology to secure data stored.

Mouser also provides the company’s enterprise-grade PE3 series PCIe Gen3x4 SSDs, which provide a temperature range of 0C to 70C and capacities up to 7.68TB. The PE3 series SSDs are able to sequential read performance of 3,200MBps and sequential write performance of 2,000MBps.
