High-performance microcontroller targets automotive systems

Update: November 5, 2021

The Cypress Semiconductor CYT3BB, available now from RS Components, is a family of Traveo II microcontrollers aimed at automotive systems such as high-end body-control units.

The device has one arm cortex -M7 CPUs for primary processing and an Arm Cortex-M0+ CPU for peripheral and security processing. These devices comprise embedded peripherals supporting CAN FD, LIN, and Ethernet.

Traveo II devices are produced on an advanced 40nm process. The device includes the company’s low-power flash memory, multiple high-performance analogue and digital peripherals and facilitates the creation of a secure computing platform.

The device offers a CPU subsystem with integrated memories and cryptography engine. It provides low-power operation of 2.7V to 5.5V.
