kW PSUs meet Intel CRPS for servers, storage and networking

The TEC series is built to meet Intel’s Common Redundant Power Supplies (CRPS) standard, and the first models are rated to deliver 2.2, 2.4 or 2.6kW. 800W, and 1.3, 1.6 and 2kW versions will follow.

The main output is 12Vdc, intended to feed dc-dc converters in distributed power architectures, then there is an always-on 12Vdc stand-by output for power management circuitry.

Taking the 2.6kW model as an example, input range is 90 – 264Vac (or 180 – 300Vdc), the stand-by output delvers up to 2.1A and it measures 185 x 73.5 x 40mm.

Active analogue power sharing is included for running multiple units in parallel to achieve higher currents, and they are hot-swappable for n+1 redundant architectures.

Digital remote set-up, monitoring and control is via PMBus and I2C, and “built-in black box recorder functionality continually monitors the power supply and can be used to speed up root cause analysis in the event of any issues during operation”, said Bel.

All models are protected against: over-voltage, over-temperature, over-current, over-power and short-circuit.

Standard or reverse airflow options are available.
