New negative-slope equalisers balance excessive loss on long cable runs

Update: March 23, 2023

Fairview Microwave has released an innovative series of in-stock, negative-slope equalisers. They were developed for broadband applications, including electronic countermeasures, defence, microwave radio, etc.

These new devices provide outstanding performance with excellent linearity, high reliability and low VSWR. They deliver reliability in hazardous conditions with defence-grade, compact, coaxial package designs and operating temperatures ranging from 0C (32F) to +90C (194F).

They supply wide coverage over octave bandwidths varying from 1GHz to 26.5GHz and low insertion loss from 0.5dB to 1.2dB.

With a maximum input power handling of 150mW, users can securely transmit more significant amounts of power without worrying about damage to antenna ports from overloading.

“Our new negative-slope equalisers relieve performance issues in our customers’ signal processing channels. The devices are ideal when compensating for an amplifier’s broadband gain response that characteristically rolls off at the upper end of the frequency band,” said Tim Galla, product line manager.
