PCB Ethernet connector for rail and industrial use

The series has PCB-to-PCB and floating mount rack and panel parts, with bodies made from liquid crystal polymer.

There are 60 and 41 way signal configurations with ‘Hypertac’ hyperboloid contacts. Described as compact, face-on the connectors are approximately 107 x 15.3mm when mated including the end screws.

With 42 signal ways, there are two positions for four-pin screened 100Ω ‘Quadrax’ Ethernet contacts – additional versions can be offered, according to the company.

Compliance is to EN45545-2, NF F61030, EN50155:2017 and STM-S-001ind.D for rail, then MIL-C-28748 and MIL-STD-202-301, and EIA and IEC standards for contact resistance and environmental testing.

Mating life is >500 cycles and operation is over -55 to 125°C, while vibration according to EN 61373 is  Category 1 Class B + Category 2. >96hours of salt spray is specified, as is resistance to oil, hydrochloric acid and base NFF61-030.

Signal contacts are rated at 3A 110Vdc (<4.5mΩ) while Ethernet contacts can handle 750mA and 72Vdc and exhibit <200mΩ resistance.

Applications are also foreseen in defence, space, test and measurement.
