Power design tool makes identifying SiC FET design solutions easier

UnitedSiC has launched an upgrade to its FET-Jet Calculator. This new version (v2) significantly streamlines the SiC FET and Schottky diode selection process and eases the analysis of all power-related results. This simple, registration-free online tool aids the designer’s selection and performance comparison process in various power applications and 26 unique topologies. With more available topologies, FET-Jet Calculator supports an even more extensive range of power applications, making it available to anyone looking to work with SiC for the first time or experienced designers exploring the best SiC device to meet their design.

Enabling engineers to identify the optimal device over AC/DC, DC-DC and DC-DCiso power designs, this upgrade adds immediate bar chart results displaying losses and efficiency data. Optimal gate drive and snubber recommendations are also presented. Finally, once the preferred SiC solution is established, all input/output design information can be simply downloaded in pdf form.
