Single board computer gets dual Cortex-A72, quad Cortex-A53 and Mali-T860MP4 for digital signage

Update: August 6, 2023

Called the SMARC-fA3399 module, it has dual Arm Cortex-A72 cores and a quad-core Cortex-A53.

“An integrated Arm Mali-T860MP4 GPU provides high performance 2D and 3D graphics capability. A wide range of displays can be connected via LVDS, DisplayPort and HDMI,” according to Review display Systems (RDS), which is stocking the part.

It supports up to 8Gbyte of LPDDR4 SDRAM and up to 64Gbyte of on-board eMMC 5.1 flash. Other integrated peripherals and interfaces include 2x Gigabit Ethernet ports, 3x PCIe, 6x USB 2.0 and one USB 3.0 port – options for selecting memory and storage capacity, graphics output, PCIe configuration options and LAN controller options will change the interfaces available at the SMARC2.1 connector pinout.

The new SMARC 2.1 module standard is 82 x 80mm and the board will operate over -20°C to +60°C.
