Amphenol RF has expanded its SMA connector series with further cable mount jacks. These jacks are created to accommodate industry-standard micro-coax 0.81mm cable. The compact, lightweight and vibration-proof design make these connectors excellent for applications where space constraints exist, such as wireless networking and antennas.
These SMA bulkhead jacks are offered in the straight crimp configuration with standard and reverse polarity options. They offer a threaded coupling mechanism that assures uniform contact of the outer conductors and allows the SMA connector to minimise reflections and attenuation at higher frequencies. This provides for a high degree of mechanical strength and durability.
The jacks are machined with brass bodies and beryllium copper contacts with gold plating. These connectors are created to mount with micro-coax cable, which gives additional flexibility and can stabilise the electrical characteristics even if bent.
