Inelco Hunter now offers two new 5″ and 7″ Powertip Smart UART Displays. They provide a simple three-wire connection and a Smart Plug and Play interface to define the graphic layout of the touch Screen. This makes the set-up easy and very fast, providing a rapid time-to-market.
The three-wire connection makes it exceptionally easy for engineers to upgrade character-based legacy products with a modern touch display. The design of brand-new touch display products will also help greatly from the simple connection and easy-to-use graphic interface set-up.
The new displays are part of the company’s ‘Totally Embedded’ range of services and embedded hardware/software solutions. David Bushnell, sales director, commented: “Customers are increasingly looking for complete solutions with a high degree of service wrapped around the product offerings. With three decades as a service-based hardware distributor, we have added embedded expertise over the past decade, enabling us to offer truly converged, totally embedded solutions.”
The 5″ and 7″ displays are part of a Powertip family of Smart touch screens varying from 3″ to 10″. They all feature Plug and Play software to define the display’s graphic touch interface. A broad range of graphic buttons are supplied as standard, with the option of quickly constructing your own buttons and graphics.
Various custom options are provided, including casing the display. The technical specifications include high resolution – the screens offer a resolution of 800×480 pixels. They also provide a wide viewing angle of 80º on the 5″ and 60º on the 7″.
