“Thanks to the optimised mechanical design and the use of particularly robust components, the Rugged Series meets requirements ranging from extended temperature range to vibration resistance,” according to Data Modul. “They impress with their Blanview technology, which gives them excellent readability, even in bright sunlight.”
Thy will be available in three different sizes:
- 4.3in COM43H4N44ULC with 480 x 272 resolution and RGB interface
- 5.0in COM50H5N01ULC with 800 x 480 resolution and LVDS interface
- 7.0in COM70H7M24ULC with 800 x 480 resolution and LVDS interface
Storage range is -40 to +95°C, and operation is across -30 to 85°C “making the Rugged models more suitable for applications in extreme climates”, said Data Modul. Withstanding shocks and vibration up to 6.8g “the models are ideal for heavy-duty environment, such as road construction, agriculture or the maritime sector”.
The distributor offers suitable projected capacitive touch extensions for all models, and for the two larger models there are the standard eMotion series ST1:3 controller boards for evaluation.
Picking the 5in 15:9 model as an example, consumption from its 3.3V power rail is 113mW for the LCD plus 548mW for the backlight at 430cd/m2.
