Anritsu Corporation has launched its 400G Dual/100G Quad Channel Expansion MT1040A-020 option offering upgraded functions for its Network Master Pro. Installing this new option in the MT1040A supports simultaneous dual-port 400GbE measurements utilising two 400G measurement modules. As a result, since data Tx and Rx tests can be performed simultaneously, it is achievable to test networks, measure the latency, and execute quality tests of 400G equipment efficiently employing just one MT1040A unit. Furthermore, testing of 200GbE utilised in data centres is also supported.
By upgrading the device functions to support 400GbE in response to customers’ needs, the company contributes to the deployment and smooth operation of high-speed networks.
The device is a portable tester for evaluating the communications quality of multiple network types operating at speeds from 10Mbps to 400Gbps. With its stackable configuration of measurement modules, it can support simultaneous dual port 400GbE measurements utilising a combination of two 400G measurement modules, aiding quality tests (BER, throughput, frame loss/latency, etc.) of 400GbE equipment. Moreover, as well as supporting 400GbE, it also supports 200GbE, providing network operators with a cost-effective, all-in-one quality tester.
