May. 23, 2023 /SemiMedia/ — Wafer foundry X-Fab recently announced that it plans to expand its foundry business in Lubbock, Texas, USA.
X-Fab has been operating in Lubbock for more than 20 years and will make major investments in the next 5 years, of which the first phase of investment is $200 million to increase the production of silicon carbide semiconductors at the fab. This expansion will create another 250 jobs in Lubbock. According to market demand, more investment projects will be launched in the future.
