The Mitsubishi PS21265-AP is a new IGBT (Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor) module that combines integrated drive, protection, and system control functions. It offers efficient and reliable performance for a range of applications.

The module includes drive circuits and high-speed level shifting for the upper-leg IGBTs, as well as control supply under-voltage (UV) protection. For the lower-leg IGBTs, it provides drive circuits, control supply under-voltage protection, and short circuit protection (SC). Fault signaling is also available to indicate SC faults (Lower-side IGBT) or UV faults (Lower-side supply).

The input interface of the module is compatible with 3.3V and 5V lines, making it flexible for different system configurations. The supply voltage applied between the P-N VCC terminals is 450V, with a surge voltage rating of 500V. The collector-emitter voltage (VCES) is 600V.

Each IGBT in the module can handle a collector current (IC) of 20A at a temperature of 25°C. For short peak currents of less than 1ms, the IGBTs can handle a collector current (ICP) of up to 40A. The collector dissipation (PC) per chip is 51.2W at 25°C.

It offers self-protection supply voltage limit (short circuit protection capability) of VCC(PROT) at 400V.

In terms of safety, the module provides isolation voltage of 2500V for 1 minute when connecting pins to the heat-sink plate, tested at 60Hz with a sinusoidal waveform.

For installation, the module requires M4 mounting screws with a torque of 0.98 to 1.47 N.m. The weight of the module is approximately 54g, making it lightweight and easy to handle.
