Infineon leads the auto pack

Techinsights estimates that automotive chip revenues increased 27.4% last year  growing from $46.6 billion in 2021 to $59,4 billion in 2022.

It was a year in which suppliers 

continued to play catch-up to the demand.

Infineon was the top supplier growing revenues 24.5% and taking 13% market share.

In second place was NXP which grew its revenues by 25.2% in 2022.

ST grew auto revenues by 49.4% with its marketshare growing from 7.5% to 8.8%.

TI was in fourth place with 8.3% market share.

Renesas was in fifth place with 7% market share.

Collectively the top five vendors took 49% of the market while the top 10 vendors took 71%.

Strong performers were: Nvidia which grew auto revenues 87%; ADI which grew auto revenues 72.8% and Qualcomm which grew auto revenues 54.3%.
